Stop Waiting Until You Realize, "I Should've Gone to the Gym"
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
How many times have you looked at the clock at the end of the day and thought, "I should've worked out today"?
The problem isn't that you don't know what to do. The problem is that you're waiting until it's too late to make the decision.
In this short but powerful episode, I'm giving you the loving kick in the butt you might need today. We often wait until we regret not taking action before realizing we had the opportunity all along. Whether it's going to the gym, meal prepping, taking a walk, or making a healthier choice, the best time to decide isn't after the window has closed... it's before!
If you've been stuck in the cycle of procrastination, waiting for motivation, or telling yourself you'll start tomorrow, this episode will challenge your mindset and remind you that your future self is depending on the choices you make today.
It's only 8½ minutes long, but it just might be the push you need to stop waiting and start showing up for yourself.

You have to stop living in the should's. You have to stop allowing yourself to get to the point of saying, I should have done that today. I wish I would have done that. Or I shouldn't have done that. I wish I wouldn't have done that. You have to stop living in the past like that. You have to start setting yourself up for success. Hey everyone, and welcome back to another episode of the Isn't She Powerful podcast. This is a healthy huddle episode where I give you quick ideas for fast action. The past two Fridays, I have really wanted to just sit on the freaking couch. Last Friday, I was feeling a bit under the weather. If you listen to the Healthy Huddle episode from last week, you know exactly what I mean. I was not feeling my best, and you could hear it loud and clear in my voice. And I really just wanted to sit around, but there was also this voice in my head that was telling me, the sun is shining. Just go outside and get some fresh air really quick. It doesn't have to be long. You don't have to do this and get super sweaty or anything. Just go for a 10-minute walk. Just get outside. And I sat with that feeling for a few minutes and you know, I battled between what I wanted to do and what my inner voice was trying to tell me that I should do. And I asked myself a simple question. Later today, when Shane comes back home, will I say, Yeah, I went on a walk today? Yay, I'm so proud of that. It made me feel so good. Or would I rather say, I kind of thought that I might go on a walk today, but I decided to sit on the couch anyways, and I really wish I would have done it, but I didn't. Which one of those do I want to experience? And I asked myself that question in advance. I didn't wait for the time to pass. I didn't wait until I got to the end of the day to say I should have gone on that walk. I asked myself, how will I feel at the end of today? And then I made the choice accordingly as to where I wanted my next move to be. I did the same thing this Friday because my Friday morning classes at the gym are the most challenging class of the day. It's a 30-minute class. It is hit and it is body pumping, man. Like we are working hard. There's heavy weights involved, there's burpees involved, which is really all I need to say. My watch every single time tells me that I spent like 25 to 28 minutes at a vigorous peak heart rate, which is a long time to be at a peak heart rate. And it's a class where every single time that I go, I'm really happy that I went afterwards. But when I walk in the room, I'm like, I do not want to be here. This is not going to be pleasant. And of course, it's not going to be pleasant. It's going to challenge me. It's going to push me. And you know what I'm going to feel afterwards? Proud and strong. And that feels so much better than feeling like crap about yourself because you wish that you would have gone to the gym. So this Friday, as I was sitting on the couch this morning doing my morning things, and I was thinking, I do not want to go. I just don't want to go to this class. I paused again and I asked myself that same question that I did from last week. How will I feel at the end of today? If I skip this class, what is that going to make me feel this evening? And if I go to this class, what is it going to make me feel this evening? And when I do that, it is a clear and obvious choice as to which one I'm going to make. And it just is a reminder that we have to stop living in that sad place of, I wish that I would have done this. How many times do you say, I wish I would have ordered a healthier meal than this? I wish that I would have meal planned for this week. I wish I would have gone to the gym. I wish I would have brought my water with me. How many times do you say that? I'm telling you right now, you already knew that before you made that decision. Before you got to that moment, there was a voice somewhere inside of you that said, You should bring your water with you. You should do a meal plan this week. You should go to the gym. You should eat vegetables. You should be having protein with this. You should make a choice you feel proud about. There is a voice that is inside of you every single time, and you choose to ignore it. And that voice, every time you choose to ignore it, by the way, that's your intuition. And our intuition is like a child. I maybe have talked about this on the podcast, maybe even recently. Actually, I remember I shared this story with one of my group chats the other day for Seismic Shift. But regardless, your intuition is like a child. It's like this little girl who lives inside of you. And she comes to you day after day. And she, let's pretend like it's a little girl coming home from school. She's like, Hey, do you want to hear about what I learned at school today? And you're like, No, not really. I'm kind of busy right now. We'll talk later. She comes home the next day. She's like, hey, do you want to hear about what we had at lunch today? And you're like, not right now. I'm very busy. We'll talk later. She comes home the next day and she's like, hey, do you want to hear about the art project that I made? And you're like, not right now. I'm cooking dinner. We'll do it later. And you keep ignoring her, ignoring her, ignoring her. You keep telling her what she has to say isn't important. You aren't going to listen. You don't have time for it. It's not valued. And eventually that little girl is going to stop coming to you. She is going to stop telling you, do you want to hear about this? Do you want to see this? Do you want to be involved in my life? Because every time you tell her no, she learns this I'm this person doesn't value me. I'm not important to them. That is what you are doing to your intuition every single time you ignore it. Every single time you say, I hear you, you're telling me I should bring water, but I'm going to choose a soda instead. I hear you, you're telling me to go to the gym, but I'm going to choose the couch instead. I hear you, you're telling me I should make a meal plan, but I'm going to choose to watch TV instead. You're telling me that I should order a vegetable, you're telling me I should order protein, but I'm really thinking a giant pasta dish with some really creamy sauce is the magic answer right now. And every single time you ignore that voice, it just gets quieter and quieter and quieter. And eventually it stops communicating with you. That's why many of us we don't hear some intuitive notion. But there's a voice deep inside of you, and it is telling you exactly what moves to make. It's telling you all of those things you should be prioritizing. And if you would pause and you would actually listen and you would just check in with yourself every once in a while and say, what do I need right now? What should I order off of this menu? What should I prioritize today? If you would stop and listen for that voice, it is there. And the more that you choose to say, you know what, I'm gonna listen to this. And when it says drink water, I'm gonna choose water. When it says eat vegetables, I'm gonna choose vegetables. When it tells me what to do, I'm going to do it. Because number one, it is important to me to have a relationship with my intuition where it tells me what is good for me and what is not. And number two, I am tired of looking back at the end of every single day, at the end of every single week, whenever I step on the scale the next day, I am tired of looking back and saying I should have done something differently. Start acting in advance rather than waiting until it's too late. So let this be a little kick in your pants. I hope that a you I hope that it stepped on your toes a little bit. I hope that you heard this and you're like, oh gosh, she's calling me out right now. That is my goal. I want to call you out. I want to make you remember that you know what to do, you know how to be a healthy person, you have it within you. You know the moves you need to be making, and the only thing stopping you is you. So let's stop waiting until it's too late. Let's stop waiting until the should's and the would have and the could've start coming up. And let's just say when I get that intuitive knowledge to do this thing for myself, I'm gonna start acting in that best interest. Thank you so much for being here for another Healthy Huddle episode. I would love so much to get to work with you if that is something that you desire. I will leave everything down in the show notes for both my group coaching program and my one-on-one coaching program. You are welcome to check all of that out. It would mean the world to me. Thank you for tuning into the podcast, sharing it with people that you care about, and I cannot wait to see you again in the next episode. Thank you so much. I can't wait to see you again next week. And always remember the more you know, the more you grow.
